Primus

Primus is an American band formed in 1984 in California, led by bassist and vocalist Les Claypool. Their style blends funk, alternative metal and experimental rock, with a virtuosic and percussive use of electric bass. Emerging in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the eccentric and surreal writing of their lyrics, combined with irregular rhythmic structures, made the group instantly recognizable. They remain one of the most original acts in American alternative rock.
